JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative with an established logistics book of business. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to generate revenue, build long-term client relationships, and consistently drive sales performance. In this role, you will leverage your existing customer base while actively developing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and contributing to overall sales growth strategy. This position is best suited for a self-driven professional with strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Key responsibilities:
Leverage Existing Book of Business
- Utilize established client relationships to generate immediate revenue growth.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term customer partnerships to ensure retention and satisfaction.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts to maximize revenue potential.
New Business Developement:
- Identify, pursue, and develop new clients and market opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Execute strategic business development initiatives including outreach, networking, referrals, and prospecting.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a structured sales plan to achieve or exceed targets and KPIs.
- Deliver presentations and solution proposals highlighting service value and operational benefits.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in alignment with company policies and profitability objectives.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide insights to sales and marketing teams to refine positioning and strategy.
Client Management & Retention:
- Ensure seamless onboarding and post-sale service by coordinating with operations and customer support teams.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and long-term retention.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and account performance reports to management.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Share client feedback to support continuous improvement of services and solutions.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative with an established logistics book of business (Transportation, Brokerage, or Freight industry preferred).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, close deals, and consistently achieve sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts efficiently.
- Self-motivated, performance-driven, and highly adaptable in competitive environments.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tools.
- Strong understanding of logistics industry trends and market dynamics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Prefered Skills:
- Strong existing network within logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage sectors.
- Experience working with North American and international clients.
- Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English for client communication and negotiations.
